This is how we play.....

So fun! Kaden got this pool from my parents for his second birthday and needless to say it has gotten lots of use! The kids always have so much fun in it. This last time I had to duct tape two little holes. I think next year we will have to break down and buy a new one! :)

Playing with Play Doh. This has been one of Presleigh's favorite things to do for a long time and Kaden enjoys it too.

Kaden with his "creature's".

One of the kids new favorite toys from my mom. This is the cutest little store that is something like a tent. Kaden has loved playing "store" for a very long time and they have been having a lot of fun in it.

The pizza maker and the cashier!

Having a tea party all dressed in pink. Kaden is such a good sport!

This beach ball squirts out water. So fun!

PJ is kind of scowling in this picture but I had to put it in. Notice her pink bathing suit, with her pink crocs and her pink chalk; along with her pink chair she has to have down. This is no accident. The girl LOVES pink!!

Kaden's 1st Soccer game!

Go Patriots!! This is our handsome Patriot, #4, Kaden!

It is hard to take pictures from upstairs b/c there is a safety net and I had to try and stick my camera through it. His team is running out through smoke as they are announcing their name. How cute is that?! Kaden is running right beside Nick. Nick is the assistant coach that is why he got to run out with them.

I am so proud of this shot I got!! My camera was not cooperating this day but this picture made it o.k. That is Kaden in the white jersey right in front smiling and running after the ball!

That is Kaden facing the front and his head Coach next to him. I played crazy mom and walked downstairs right next to the teams to get some closer shots. Nick let me take some and then shooed me away. :)

After the game they get rewards and then have snack!
This was SUCH a FUN game! I imagined the game would be a bunch of confused 4 year old boys running around that had never played soccer before but I was VERY wrong. They all did awesome and Kaden had so much fun and was so fun to watch! I guess I am an official soccer mom. :)

Friday Fun

This past Friday we went to story time at Barnes and Noble because Curious George was there! I have been taking Kaden since he was about 18 months old. They read stories and give a snack and then have a coloring page at the end. Every once in a while they have a special character come. Kaden has had his picture taken with "Toot and Puddle" and "Biscuit" before. Barnes and Noble is one of Kaden's favorite places to go, as is mine. I LOVE children's books and could spend hours looking at their books. The Barnes and Noble we go to has the children's area upstairs so Kaden and Presleigh have lots of fun riding up and down the escalator. Presleigh was not a big fan of Curious George. She only liked him from far away. :) Kaden, however, gets very excited!

Kaden David with Curious George!

Cheeeeese! It is so hard for me to get Presleigh to pose without doing this. :) It is very cute though and Kaden used to do the same exact thing about this age.

Home from Barnes and Noble "reading" some of our books before naptime.

So, Friday night Nick and I decided to take the kids bowling. I love Main Event because it is smoke free. We had a good time and it was quite the adventure. Presleigh was more interested in the baby in the lane next to us then she was bowling. :) This is us watching PJ's ball roll down the lane.

Daddy helping Presleigh Joy bowl

Kaden and his 6 pound green ball. He actually did quite well!

Then we got smart and noticed one of these contraptions. I asked for one and they brought it out. The kids really enjoyed being able to push their ball down the ramp.

Such fun!

Doing a little racing with Daddy before we left
I will leave with a quote from a conversation I had with Kaden last week in the car as we were leaving the park. I wanted to write it down so I will never forget it. :)
"Mommy, when I grow up and I'm a daddy I'm still going to live with y'all o.k.? Because there is no else like you and daddy and I love y'all so I'm always going to live with you o.k.?"

4th of July 2010!!

We started our 4th of July celebrating the day before in Southlake. We have been to Southlake 3 times now and it is always so much fun! This was Presleigh's first year to go. We took the kids to "Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory" first off to get a yummy treat! We enjoyed walking around and listening to the band and Nick stood in line FOREVER so that the kids could get a balloon animal/flower. They have lots of fun things for the kids to do. We watched a clown do a magic show and Kaden and PJ did a little jumping on the bounce houses. We went home after a few hours to get the kids ready for bed and do sparklers as a family. Then I took Kaden back with me to watch the fireworks show from a nearby neighborhood.

Kaden with the juggling guy on stilts. :)

Presleigh Joy with her yummy lollipop. This girl LOVES lollipops of any kind!

Sweet kids in front of our church after an amazing 4th of July service!!

Right after church we headed to Nana and PopPop's house (Nick's grandparents) for lunch and swimming. This is PJ and Lilah, our niece, sharing a snack and sporting their 4th of July dresses. Lilah is just 2 weeks and 2 days older than Presleigh. What fun it is to have a cousin so close in age!

After Nana and PopPop's we took the kids home for a late and long nap and then we went to my sister and brother-in-law's house for their 4th of July party. In this picture Kaden and Presleigh are wearing their eagle shirts that they made for the 4th. They are made entirely out of their sweet handprints, fingers, and palm print. They slightly resembled a turkey but still super cute! :) Presleigh's shirt is pink b/c her fav. color is pink and did not want to buy blue when we were at the store. :) My mom also made her an adorable 4th of July tutu, b/c she is really into wearing them everywhere now, and she made her the wand and bow. She is so talented!

Our annual 4th of July family picture.

Fort Worth Children's Museum

My friend Christa got season passes to the children's museum so we got to go with them this past week for free. Yeah! We love free b/c they charge you $5 dollars now just to park and have signs saying not to bring outside food for lunch, which I always do to save money! It is crazy how much some places charge now, especially when you have little children that are only going to last a few hours. We brought our own food anyway, along with several other families I saw, and just sat outisde instead of in the cafeteria. :)

This was Kaden's absolute favorite thing at the museum..... can you guess what it is?! Yes, a snake! This was some kind of rat snake. It is precious to see how excited he gets about snakes and to touch one is even more wonderful.

Kaden and Presleigh inside a fossilized dinosaur footprint.

I would say this was PJ's favorite thing at the museum. They have these neat water tables set up outside and she really enjoyed playing in them.

My palentologists digging for bones! I have to comment on the fact that my dear children are sitting on the edge and Kaden even has his feet on the edge so that he does not get dirty. If you have never been to the dino dig at the museum I will just tell you it is a rather large area outside with tons of places to get in the sand and dig and even a little creek you can get in. I do not enjoy having dirty hands and feet and I believe I have rubbed off on my son who can not stand it either! :) Presleigh does not like it but it does not seem to bother her too bad. I have not meant to do this b/c I beleive children should get dirty but it is funny to watch all the other children jump out in the sand and bones covered in dirt and my precious children cautiously bent over the edge. :)

Train and Botanical Gardens

The West kiddos and the Tune kiddos getting ready to ride the Fort Worth miniature train.

This was a great day to go! It was overcast and cool and we enjoyed the ride. I have been riding this train since I was a little girl and my kids have ridden it too many times to count. We always have such a good time!

Kaden, Presleigh Joy, and Julian

This is Kaden and Julian right after riding the same train exactly 2 years ago in June of 2008. They have grown so much!

After we rode the train I took my two kiddos to the botanical gardens to do a little exploring. It is such a pretty place with so many trails and beautiful things to see.

Isn't this the coolest tree? It was off one of the trails we took and if I had let him Kaden would have fit right inside the big hole. :)

I took this picture because Kaden wanted me to. However, he became distracted by the 5 turtles that swam up to him during this so he would not turn around. If you look at his feet and legs you will notice they are covered in mud and the two footprints in the mud in front of him. He walked up to the water, I think to look at some tadpoles, and SUNK into the mud. One of his feet was completely covered and then he sat down in it b/c he couldn't walk or catch his balance. I couldn't help but laugh a little. :) My sweet son can not stand to be dirty so this shortened our trip just a little.

Father's Day 2010

This is Kaden and Nick the summer of 2007. He always has adored his daddy!

Nick and Presleigh at the hospital right after she was born. Presleigh spent many, many nights the first couple months of her life sleeping on her daddy's chest.

Father's Day 2010. I meant to take a picture of the three of them all dressed up for church but as usual we were running late for church and I didn't get a chance. :) This is the best I got and PJ was not in the mood for picture taking.

I first remember Nick in our 6th grade Sunday school class. My friend, Jamie's, parents were the Sunday school teachers. I didn't really start to get to know Nick until the summer after 10th grade when we went to Pennsylvania with our youth group. It was then that I first started to "fall" for Nick. :) We were friends until right after we graduated from high school and then we dated all through college and the rest is history. :) All that to say that I knew from a very long time ago that Nick was a great man and that he would make a great father; which was very important to me because all I have ever really wanted to do was to have children and be a stay-at-home mom.

I can not put into words what an amazing father Nick is. I feel more than blessed to be his wife and to be able to watch him with our children. He is an incredible man with so much love for his kids and Kaden and Presleigh are so blessed to have him as their father.
